Wicklow County Enterprise Board

Wicklow County Enterprise Board promotes the development of enterprise in County Wicklow by focusing on the creation of enterprise awareness, providing management training and mentoring services for small business and by providing a range of financial incentives.

Wicklow County Enterprise Board is one of 35 Enterprise Boards established by the Government under the Operational Programme for Local Urban and Rural Development 1994 to 1999. The Board, which was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee on 8th June 1995, is a Statutory Agency established under the 1995 Industrial Development Act.

The remit of Wicklow County Enterprise Board is to develop indigenous enterprise potential and to stimulate economic activity at local level. This is done primarily through the provision of financial support, advice and training for the development of small businesses. The County Enterprise Board supports both individuals and companies provided that the projects have the capacity to achieve commercial viability.
